Café del Hidalgo

35 Hypolita Street

Come look in our case.

We scoop family-recipe gelato on a historic corner, then press paninis and pour coffee, beer, and wine when you want to stay.

Our hanging oval sign for Café del Hidalgo at 35 Hypolita Street, with paninis, gelato, and beer and wine.

Hypolita at St. George

Our corner is a gelato case with a cafe around it.

We hang the oval over coquina and wood. Come in for paninis and salads, artisanal gelato and sorbet, specialty coffee, and a glass from our wine bar.

The case

Old family recipes, still in the pans.

We work from recipes that started in Italy. Gelato, ice cream, and sorbet sit in chrome, labeled by hand. Lean on the glass. Tell us which scoop you want.

Gelato Family recipes, scooped cold
Ice cream Cream from the same case
Sorbet Fruit, bright and clean
Crepes Sugar, jam, chocolate/Nutella, fruit
Cannolis Filled when you ask

We keep the case full so a walk down Hypolita can end with a cup in hand. If you want a crepe or a cannoli after, we make those too.

The board

Our paninis and salads.

We press sandwiches to order and toss salads in the back. Prices live on the cards at the counter. The slots here are for us to fill.
